  2. 2025

    Engineering Intern

    Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC)India

    Responsibilities

    • Explored multiple domains within the IT Department of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, working on automation and digital solutions for transportation operations.
    • Developed a Python-based pilot for automating metro trip charting, applying object-oriented programming and algorithmic logic to reduce the manual preparation effort.
    • Worked on an Indoor Navigation System for Blocks A and B of the DMRC Academy, translating navigation requirements into a deployable digital solution.

    Achievements

    • Reduced the estimated trip-charting workflow from approximately 5 hours of manual effort to around 2 hours through the automation pilot.
    • Developed and validated the trip-charting automation for a pilot covering 3 stations and 2 metro trains.
    • Contributed to an Indoor Navigation System that was subsequently deployed at the DMRC Academy.
    • The Indoor Navigation System was featured in the DMRC Academy's publication/magazine.
